PART 5: Getting the most out of my incommodious garage workspace: An overview of random projects I chipped away at this fall/winter.

I had to do a little work on this old free chipper I picked up off the side of the road a few years ago. A 1989 Amerind-Mackissic Mighty Mac wood chipper, model 12P.

I updated a small bathroom in my old house. Faced with a very sloped floor that made the toilet not seat correctly, I improvised a two-level floor with a small step. Some new wallboard and some cleaned up old wallboard. New toilet flange, old toilet. New pedestal sink, medicine cabinet, and lighting. New window, new underlayment and Marmoleum flooring, new trim, and a coat or two or three of fresh Benjamin Moore paint. I kept the old tub and tub enclosure for now.

Hitting pause on the Mustang to finish up some necessary tasks in the garage before the cold months arrive.

I needed to maximize the floor space in my little old garage, so I made a plan to move a wall, create a storage/closet area, and build an alcove out of old doors to accommodate a new built-in workbench. The goal is to recycle & reuse as much lumber as possible. This is about as ambitious as I get.

Work surfaces are useful. Fences are crucial.

Improving a small garage: Sledgehammer some asphalt, yeah. Reconfigure ya shelf situation, sure.
